The silver skirt with sneakers

In an attempt to pad out my brand spanking new blog (with all it’s white space), I thought I’d share some of my favourite outfits that have featured on suzyturner.com (my author blog which is now exclusively for my books)…

Massimo Dutti satin skirt

One of my favourite things to wear is trainers with skirts and dresses. Not only is it the height of coolness (right?!), it’s also the height of comfort. And when you’re 45, have bunions and creaky knees, comfort starts to sneak in as a priority when dressing in the morning.

And it’s even better when the skirt is blingtastic! I purchased this silver skirt beauty during the sales at Massimo Dutti and I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF IT. In fact, I want it in every colour under the sun. Who wouldn’t, right? But… I am the bargain queen, so I don’t want to have to pay full price LOL 😉

So, I’m looking super cool (I was so born in the 70s, wasn’t I?!) in my blingtastic satin silver skirt and black Asics trainers, how can I possibly add even more sass? Easy, just add a black leather jacket and a camo bumbag! I bought the camo bumbag from Kipling a little while back and I just adore it. It also doubles up as a cross body bag too, which is pretty cool (although it’s a bit small for that, TBH). However, I was so impressed with the quality, that I’ve since bought two more bumbags from them — bigger ones, of course. One in black and one in pink. I’ve always loved bumbags — ever since they were first in style back in the early 90s. I wore them then, I wear them now. If you get shoulder ache with regular handbags, or just want to be hands-free, bumbags are the way to go. Once you’ve had one, you’ll never go back (yes, I have heard that said about certain men, ahem!)

Oh, and some sparkle. Don’t forget the sparkle. My sparkle comes in the form of the most beautiful bracelet from Swarovski. It’s the kind of sparkle that makes you giddy with excitement. We actually bought this little beauty for my mother-in-law, only to discover that she already had it. So, I kept it for myself. Well, I wasn’t going to let this gorgeousness go, was I? Would you? Be honest 😉

Ha ha ha, you are kidding me! Even when you buy your mil a present, you end up having it yourself! Lol. What is it with your mil and you and accessoires! It’s lovely to read again from you!

That was a great look! I remember it. Love each detail you added to it: the accessories just bring that extra cool factor.
