Review: Mylee MyGel Magic Gel Remover

Last year, mid-Covid pandemic when we could no longer go out to get our nails done, I bought a Mylee kit to do my own gel nails at home. I have used it once or twice a month ever since, and I love the ease of just doing it all myself.

The Mylee MyGel Magic Gel Remover

Just before Christmas, I ordered the latest ‘game-changing’ product that I’d read about: the Mylee MyGel Magic Gel Remover. Unlike the usual gel remover which needed to be left on the nails for at least twenty minutes, this MyGel Magic Gel Remover promised to do the job in less than half the time. And, it claimed you didn’t have to faff about with foil or nail clips in the process. I was sold.

So I ordered two bottles of the Magic Gel Remover. I used it for the first time a few days ago. Despite getting it wrong to start with (as you’ll see in the video, below), and once I’d got the hang of it, I was chuffed. It was SO much easier to use than the standard gel remover. And it took only six minutes to remove the gel nail polish.

I made a video when I first used it, which I’ve uploaded to YouTube. It’s not great because I’m still learning the ins and outs of filming oneself lol. But I’m getting there…slowly.

As for the Magic Gel Remover, it’s super easy to use. All you need to do is put a thick layer of the gloopy liquid onto your nails, leave it for about six minutes. Then you’ll see it start to bubble. Next, simply scrape it off, wash your hands et voila! Done! Super easy.

Here’s my video, if you’d like to see me making a fool of myself! I would absolutely love it if you could give the video a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel. I only started it a few weeks ago, I’ve only got 10 subscribers and it is looking a little sad. So if you know anyone who might like my videos, please help share the love!

If you’re thinking about getting your own gel nail kit, I highly recommend the Mylee kit, which comes with everything you’ll need to get started. It’s a brilliant piece of kit too and doesn’t take up too much space in your house! Well, unless you’re like me and keep buying new gel nail polish lol!

Here’s my latest manicure (which you might recall seeing on Instagram or the blog on Monday for the Fab40s post!

Your nails look fabulous, Suzy! I have not had a manicure in such a long time! And I hate doing it myself. I do my own pedicures though but it has been too cold for me to even tolerate bare toes while the polish dries so my toes will remain naked as well until the weather warms up! Maybe I should invest in some products to do the gel polish on my toes. Thanks for sharing and linking with me!

Thanks, Shelbee! I know what you mean about getting your toes out lol. And I live somewhere decidedly warmer than you! There’s nothing more horrible than bare toes in the cold!!
