Since turning 40, five years ago, I’ve discovered a love of blogs belonging to other women my age and older (there are a few younger ones that I enjoy too, of course). There are loads of amazing bloggers out there who are in Britain and the US (and beyond), but we rarely read about those in the EU. So, here are some of my top European 40 plus style bloggers…
If you visited my blog last week, you’ll know that I interviewed Greetje from No Fear of Fashion on Friday. We had a lovely chat about her style and blog. One of the things I love about Greetje is her humour, and ability to stay so upbeat. I also admire her style which is always so full of colour.

Nancy is another Dutch blogger who always seems so full of the joys of life, despite living with hereditary lung disease. Nancy describes her style as being a mixture of punk (which she wore a lot when she was a youngster) and classic. She believes that clothing should give you confidence, to which I wholeheartedly agree!

Funky Forty is run by the vivacious Yvonne, a woman who is so young at heart, you can see it in everything she wears — not to mention the fabulous photos she produces. She always looks like she’s having the time of her life in her home of Switzerland (although she is actually a Kiwi).

Annette’s style can best be described as classic elegance. She always looks impeccably dressed, something that has led her blog to become rather well known in her native Germany.

Martina isn’t just a German style blogger, she’s also an image consultant for the over 50s age group! Not only that, but she’s also started her own jeans collection a couple of years ago. Impressive, huh? Her style is quite eclectic, and her photos are simply beautiful.

Well, I couldn’t not mention myself could I? Although I’m originally from Yorkshire in England, I’ve lived most of my life in the Algarve, Portugal. As for my style, I’d say I have quite a broad sense of style—I love to wear dresses with trainers or combat boots, or perhaps a pair of camo trousers with dressy heels (low heels, I might add. My bunions scream at me if I try to wear high heels lol). One day I might be all in black, goth style, and the next all girlie and floral. I don’t want to put myself in a certain style box, so basically I’ll wear anything that makes ME feel good!

I have met Greetje a couple of times and also Yvonne a couple of years ago. Really miss these experiences and I hope we are able to travel again some time in the near future.
And last but not least: I have been to Portugal a couple of times and miss the Portuguese sun, Pasteis de Nata and delicious wine!
